The Chermside Library was rebuilt and officially reopened in 2017. Before that, we had been commissioned to design visual environment graphics. Starting from standardization, scientificalization and artistry, we can convey the cultural concept of the library by means of graphic design, creative sign and artistic conception creation. The signage system is naturally integrated with the internal environment of the library from the aspects of shape, material selection and color, so that readers can fully feel the beauty of art. We have also excavated the unique species of animals and plants to extract and create graphics and coordinate with library facilities and colors, so that readers can feel like they are in the local natural environment. The freely flying local birds depicted on the ceiling and the painted murals spanning 25 meters make people fully appreciate the beauty of nature. In order to provide a relaxed, comfortable, peaceful, natural and harmonious public space in the busy city, we optimized the overall building environment and took the histogram as the anchor of planning and design, while emphasizing artistry and visual impact, we also paid attention to functionality and systematicness.
